Weekend Sangria

Looking for the best pitcher of drinks for relaxing with your friends this weekend? This is it.

Elderflower Jasmine Rose Sangria

Elderflower & Jasmine Rose’ Sangria. Yes I did.

With the official start of Summer this weekend- this is summer in a glass. This is light and floral and subtly sweet and herby and a little tart. Perfect for sitting around with your friends this weekend and relaxing.

Float Fever Tree Club Soda for those subtle bubbles

Check out below for the recipe or download in the Resources tab. Cheers!

Top with a mound of crushed ice to keep you cool (and slightly hydrated)

  • 1.5 liter bottle of your favorite rose. I prefer Barefoot because it tastes good and is a great price but you can use whatever.
  • 1/4 c St. Germain Elderflower liqueur
  • 1/4 c Cardinal Spirits Flora liqueur
  • 5-8 fresh thyme sprigs + more for garnish
  • 2 cups frozen mixed tropical fruit – I get mine from Aldi (possibly the best store ever) and it contains pineapple, mango, papaya and strawberry chunks. 1 bag is just about perfect.
  • Enough Fever Tree Club Soda to top each glass. I prefer Fever Tree because it’s 100% natural. No added anything. Because that’s just how I roll.
  • 1 beautiful white French pitcher. Ok, that’s not required but I make my sangria in the same pitcher and I swear, it makes it taste better. Plus, it’s all about the presentation, amiright?

Mix the full liter of wine + liqueurs + thyme sprigs + frozen fruit in your beautiful pitcher and swirl gently until mixed. Scoop some fruit into each glass, fill 3/4 with sangria and stir in club soda. Top each glass with a mound of crushed ice. Keep refrigerated. But, lemme tell ya- it’ll be gone before you know it.

Cheers!
