Alright, even us natural girls love a pretty manicure. What I don’t love is all the crap in everything that goes into making my nails look good. But luckily, I have all the resources right at the tips of my fingers (Get it? Nail joke.. Ok, moving on).
You can make up a few of these gift baskets for a few of your friends or better yet- make it a ladies night! Invite them over, mix up a batch of Winter Sangria, show them how to make their individual rollers and gift away!
For this gift or to make it a ladies night:
- Grab bottles of bio-based nail polish like Nailtural Vegan nail polish
- Pick up bottles of Young Living Lavender and Tea Tree and a bottle of jojoba oil
- Order up some cute 3ml roller bottles or 5ml dropper bottles from Amazon- these have bamboo toppers
- Mix up the Winter Sangria recipe below and set everything out
Winter Sangria:
1 bottle Cabernet Sauvignon – your fave. I prefer Barefoot.
1/4 cup Raw Honey
2/3 cup Vanilla Brandy
1 bag frozen mixed berries (blackberries, raspberries, etc)
2 cinnamon sticks
4 whole cloves
1 orange cut into 1/8 pieces
Pour berries (frozen) into pitcher, add in spices and orange. Mix brandy and honey until honey is dissolved, pour over berry mixture and add cabernet. Let sit for at least 3 hours or overnight for best results. Serve chilled.
Cuticle roller bottles
3oz roller bottles of your choice
Jojoba oil or Fractionated Coconut Oil
Place three drops each Tea Tree and Lavender in a 3oz roller bottle and fill to top with your preference of jojoba or coconut oil. I like a 50/50 blend. Place roller on top and roll over each cuticle. Massage in and you’re good! Roll in on nightly before sleep for best results.
Additional cuticle oil recipes:
3oz bottle: 2 drops Rosemary, 2 Drops Cypress, 3 drops Grapefruit
3oz bottle: 1 drop Hope (or Myrrh), 2 drops Rosemary, 2 Drops Grapefruit
3oz bottle: 2 drops Cypress, 2 Drops Hope (or Myrrh), 2 drops Lavender
Herbal bottle add-ins: rose buds, rose petals, frankincense tears, lavender buds, yarrow, calendula petals, rosemary, or hops. Theses whole herbs add additional healing benefits to your roller as well as make it look beautiful!
All of the recipes above promote nail strength, growth, prevent hangnails and cracking and promote healthy shine.
