Dry Shampoo

It’s a dry shampoo/hair in a bun/warm mug of coffee day..

What am I talking about- that’s literally every day for me. 😂

I’m lucky as a graphic designer that I can rock a messy bun most days. And I usually don’t wash my hair more than 2x a week during the winter. (Summer: different story. I loooove a good sunny day in the garden and that requires shampoo afterwards) Limiting my shampoos has restrengthened my hair, reduced its breakage, and helped regrow that ones that fell out from my Hashimoto’s down spiral a few years ago. On my off days, I dust on this all natural dry shampoo made with 2 ingredients and a few essential oils.

It’s soooooooo easy to make and keep on hand. I toss mine into a lidded glass jar and use a large natural powder brush to target roots. Massage in, brush and style; you’re out the door. I even use this as a root volume booster when I do wash my hair. It helps keep strands fresh and light, absorbing oil throughout the day to maintain volume.

In my standard blend I use Rosemary and Peppermint. Refreshing and scalp stimulating, it’s the perfect blend. Today I’m dropping in some Endoflex and Northern Lights Black Spruce, both to support my thyroid and endocrine system. There are numerous blends you can use depending on what you’re hair is needing. I’ll post these over in the blog with the recipe and you can choose your own adventure. No aerosols, no endocrine DISRUPTORS, all natural, biodegradable, nourishing and *bonus* it smells amazing. Plus, it take, like, 1 minute to mix up. Literally less time than it would take you to go buy dry shampoo.

Perfect for men or women, let me know what blend you choose!

*Bonus* When you DO finally wash your hair, your shower will smell like mint chocolate!
